Inkisanjani Village Kenya Project
Shakespeare Soroptimists are proud to support the Inkisanjani Project in Kenya, an inspiring initiative dedicated to improving the lives and futures of girls and young women through education and sustainable livelihoods.
The Inkisanjani Project focuses on helping girls from disadvantaged communities to stay in school and complete their education. By providing financial support for school fees, uniforms and essential learning resources, the project removes significant barriers that often prevent girls from accessing education.
This support not only gives girls the chance to learn, grow and build confidence, but also helps to break cycles of poverty within their families and communities.
In addition to supporting girls through school, the Inkisanjani Project works with female school leavers to help them establish small-scale farming businesses. These initiatives equip young women with practical skills, resources and start-up support to grow crops, generate income and become financially independent. Small farming enterprises also strengthen local food security and create long-term, sustainable opportunities for women and their families.
By supporting the Inkisanjani Project, Shakespeare Soroptimists are contributing to lasting change, empowering girls through education and enabling young women to build secure, self-sufficient futures. This partnership reflects Soroptimist International’s commitment to improving the lives of women and girls worldwide through education, empowerment and opportunity.
Together, we are helping to create brighter futures for girls and women in Kenya, one opportunity at a time.
