Esther House Garden

One organisation proudly supported in 2025  was The Esther Project, a Leamington - Spa - based charity that provides vital help to women experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The Esther Project offers a safe, welcoming space where women can access practical resources, emotional support, and pathways toward stability, independence, and renewed self-worth.

The Shakespeare Soroptimists’ support for The Esther Project reflected a shared mission: empowering women, restoring dignity and breaking cycles of vulnerability.

By standing alongside The Esther Project, the Shakespeare Soroptimists demonstrated the power of local action and compassionate collaboration, showing how committed community groups can make a profound difference in the lives of women who need it most.

At Esther House, the garden has been thoughtfully transformed into a calm, nurturing outdoor space designed to support rest, reflection and emotional wellbeing for the residents. Recognising the importance of nature in healing and recovery, the changes were made with the intention of creating a place that feels safe, peaceful and restorative.

The refreshed garden now offers a tranquil environment where residents can step away from daily pressures and reconnect with a sense of calm. Gentle planting, improved cosy seating areas and clearer, more inviting layouts have turned the space into one that encourages quiet moments, conversation and grounding in the present moment. It is a place to breathe, reflect and begin to rebuild a sense of stability.

These improvements go beyond aesthetics. For women rebuilding their lives, access to a soothing outdoor space can play a powerful role in supporting mental health, reducing stress and fostering a sense of belonging. The garden at Esther House is now a space that reflects care, dignity and hope. An extension of the supportive environment found within the house itself.

By investing in this garden, we have helped create more than an outdoor area; we have helped shape a sanctuary where residents can experience peace, connection and the quiet reassurance that they are supported.
